Projects and storage
In beta · Apply to test it free
Your projects, the media in them, and the space Rooster takes on your Mac. Rooster is in beta, and these guides describe the app its testers are using now.
How Rooster saves your work, and undo
Rooster saves every edit as you make it, with no Save command, and never changes your recordings. How undo works, how far back it goes, and making a version.
Organise projects into folders
Group Rooster projects into folders in the sidebar, move projects between them by menu or by dragging, and rename or delete a folder without losing a project.
Rename, duplicate or delete a project
Rename a Rooster project, duplicate it to try something different, or delete it - and what each does and does not do to your video files.
Re-link a moved or missing file
When a file a Rooster project uses has been moved, renamed or deleted, the editor says so. Point the project at the file where it is now, or at a replacement.
Find and preview media in the Media rail
Use Rooster's Media rail to see every file in a project, search and filter them, preview one, place it on the timeline, and remove files you no longer need.
See and free up the space Rooster uses
See how much space Rooster's own files take on your Mac - renders, thumbnails, measurements, the speech model - and clear what Rooster can make again.
Uninstall Rooster and remove its files
Remove Rooster from your Mac, and optionally its projects, working files and saved keys - while keeping the recordings and exports you made with it.
