Your free trial of Rooster

Try it free for 14 days

Two weeks of the whole application, with no card and no account. There is nothing to sign up for: download Rooster, open it, and the trial has started. Recording, transcription, editing, Studio Sound, captions and export all work as they do with a licence, and nothing you export carries a watermark.

While the trial runs

A strip across the top of the window says how many days of the trial are left. Its Licence… button opens the licence sheet, where you can enter a key whenever you have one.

The trial belongs to the Mac. Deleting Rooster and installing it again does not start a new one.

When the trial ends

Your projects are still there. Every project opens and plays, and every file you exported is where you left it. Editing, recording and export wait for a licence: try to change a project and Rooster asks for one instead, and nothing is changed or deleted in the meantime. See Plans opens the plans on the pricing page.

There is no free tier after the trial. That is why it gives you the whole application rather than a cut-down version: two weeks is meant to be long enough to record, cut, caption and export a real project and decide.

Buy and enter your key

  1. Choose a plan on the pricing page. Checkout is run by Creem, and a subscription is charged at checkout.
  2. Find your licence key in the receipt email from Creem.
  3. In Rooster, open Settings > Licence, paste the key and choose Activate. Once the trial has ended, choose Enter Your Key… first to show the field.

The trial becomes your licence, on the same Mac and with the same projects; nothing else changes. You can do this on the first day of the trial or after it has ended. To cancel or change a subscription later, see Manage or cancel your subscription.
