Find words in the script, and across projects
In beta · Apply to test it free
Press Command-F to search the open project's script, then Command-G for the next match. Select a word and press Command-E to find its other occurrences. To search every project at once, type in the sidebar's search field: it matches titles and what is said in each project.
Find in the script
- Edit > Find… (⌘F) opens a find bar at the top of the script.
- Type and press Return to select the next match. The playhead stays where it is, so the picture does not jump with every match; click the words to move the playhead there.
- Find Next (⌘G) and Find Previous (⇧⌘G) step through the rest.
- To find every place a word or name is said, select it in the script and choose Use Selection for Find (⌘E), then ⌘G.
Find searches the script as it reads now: words you have cut are not found.
There is no Replace. To fix a name wherever it was misheard, find it, then correct it with the box's option to correct every other place that reads the same - see Correct the transcript.
Find is not available while Correct mode is on, or before a project has a script.
Search across all your projects
Type in Search projects and transcripts at the top of the sidebar. It finds projects whose title matches, or in which the words were said, ignoring capitals and accents. A project found by what was said shows the words around the match. The search reads each transcript as edited - corrections in, cuts out.
While you search, the list shows matches from every folder, most recently edited first. Clear the field to go back.
